Two camps. Neither one enough.

The contact-centre industry split into two camps. The AI-natives built brilliant conversation engines — with no contact centre underneath them, and every customer call sent to someone else's cloud. The legacy suites built the whole stack — and bolted AI on top of it, rented per token, licensed per seat. Enterprises were told to choose: an AI-native future, or a platform that actually runs the floor.
